Written Update for Episode 18 of Bigg Boss OTT 2 – July 4, 2023
The housemates of Bigg Boss OTT 2 begin to awaken to the sound of music blaring from the speakers at the start of the episode that airs on July 4, 2023 (Day 17).
Some of the roommates sluggishly make their beds in the morning, while the others go outside to dance to wake up.
Also, while the housemates are having breakfast in the living room, Bigg Boss makes an important announcement.
The other contestants are shocked when Bigg Boss announces that Abhishek Malhan is no longer house captain.
He and the other contestants are shocked when Bigg Boss reveals that Abhi napped during the day and then broke the rules by discussing the housemates’ placements.
The housemates are taken aback by Bigg Boss’s announcement that anyone can vote for the next captain.
Bigg Boss briefs them on the challenge’s buzzer round, in which the first person to press the button eliminates a competitor.
After four rounds, Abhishek has defeated Falaq Naaz, Bebika Dhurve, Cyrus Broacha, and Avinash Sachdev.
Avinash, however, presses the buzzer in the fifth round just as Bigg Boss announces the final round and tells him to pick a captain since he is eliminated.

Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 now has a new captain, and Avinash has picked Jiya to lead the team.

Now Abhi feels ashamed.
Bebika Dhurve tells Pooja that she hasn’t changed her mind about Manisha Rani and Abhishek Malhan being unhappy in their relationship.
Abhi and Jad Hadid are having a conversation when Jad Hadid tells Abhi that he could not have rekindled his friendship with Bebika without him.
Abhi explains to him that he is not reestablishing their friendship but is letting it go because he is the captain and needs to get the job done by them.
Abhi later nods off while Manisha is trying to talk to him, setting off the alarm.
As his roommates rush to make fun of him, Abhi covers his face in shame.
Bebika complains about the prejudice she’s encountered after lunch, at which point Abhi arrives and tells Falaq to make individual portions.
Jiya starts using her newfound captaincy power by telling Bebika she is not to help with the cooking.
Many of the attendees criticise Jiya, but Falaq and Avinash remove her from the room and tell her to talk to Manisha to end the drama once and for all.
Avi pulls Jiya away and tries to reason with her while Bebika and Manisha talk about how Jiya is only trying to repress them.
Cyrus then makes a joke about Jiya’s lust for authority.
Bigg Boss tells Jiya that the housemates will be getting customised meals this week after a discussion in the living room.
Jiya is told to go into the warehouse and sort items into baskets based on their respective positions.
The more often a rule is broken, the lower the ranking.
According to Jiya, the order of the best people is Avinash, then Falaq, then Jad, then Abhi, then Pooja, then Bebika, then Cyrus.
Since she was unable to put Cyrus in jail, she decided to put Manisha behind bars instead.
While Bigg Boss is telling the public that Jiya gave the rating on her own and is now one of the rule breakers, Abhi is on the phone with Jiya, telling her that what she’s doing is wrong.
Bigg Boss tells the housemates that Jiya can be captain if they want her to be because they gave their permission for it.

While Jad, Falaq, and Avinash try to explain, Jiya says that she felt pressured to make the decision, and so she did.
Manisha says it’s obvious what’s happening, but the woman who arrests her says she has no axe to grind.
Bigg Boss asks Jiya if she wants to resign as captain because she seems to be cracking under the pressure.
Jiya tells Avinash that he will never hear that song again while the others make fun of her.
Abhi and Cyrus try to cheer Manisha up by arguing about the person she is sacrificing for at night.
Jiya arrives while Bebika is still there to watch.
